Park Rules & Guidelines

Park Rules & Guidelines during games:

-During 8U-14U soccer games spectators are asked to sit on the same side of the field as their players and coaches (for example if the game is Eastwood vs. Lake, the Eastwood parents sit on same side as Eastwood players/coaches and the Lake parents sit on same side as Lake players/coaches). The reason for this is to limit the chance of the virus spreading between different communities within our district. For 4U and 6U soccer games we are still asking spectators to sit on the opposite side of the field from the teams because all in attendance are from the same Eastwood community and it limits a lot of distraction for our younger players.
-Please practice 6' social distancing while at the soccer fields and all spectators need to wear a mask while watching from the sidelines.
-We currently do not have enough team benches to service all of our fields and with COVID social distancing requirements we are asking all players to bring a folding chair or beach blanket that they can sit on during games when on the sideline.
-Coaches will be tracking attendance for practices and games in case we need to perform contact tracing in the event of a positive test result. If a participant tests positive for COVID please notify their coach right away so that we can take the proper next steps.
-If you, a family member, or your participant is not feeling well, please stay home! Our volunteer coaches will not be responsible for performing any health screens at the field. It is up to each individual family to monitor the health of their household and determine if they are all healthy to attend practices and games. If a coach notices a participant not feeling well or they are concerned a participant is showing signs they might be sick the coach may ask for the participant to return home.
-Additional COVID details can be found in this news article.

  2.  We ask that you do not bring your dog to the soccer fields. Dogs can be a rather large distraction to the players on the field and at times can take away from the game play and practice concentration. Another issue is that some owners who bring their dog do not clean up after their dog. Lastly, there has been at least one instance of dogs getting into fights with other dogs at soccer games. This poses a safety concern for all. Many parks/fields don't allow dogs and there is a strict no dog policy for the tournament. If you feel you must bring your dog along, we ask that you not be on the sidelines during any games or practices and that you clean up after them. Also, before taking your dog along on any outing please check the dog policy for that specific location.

  3. When you are at Stony Ridge please do not park on the north side of the main drive. This is to ensure the driveway space is large enough so that two cars can safely drive past one another and that we are complying with safety requirements should emergency vehicles need to access the park. You can still parallel park on the south side of the main drive as well as park in the stone parking lot area near the playground equipment. There is additional parking available off of Oak Street near the basketball court as well. We are looking to expand the parking area in the future to provide even more available parking.

  4. Remember to pack some bug spray along with all your other essential items when heading out for the soccer fields, especially if you will be there for an evening practice or game!

  5. All players, coaches, parents, volunteers, spectators and others associated with the EYSA are expected to adhere to the highest standards of sportsmanship and ethics and commit to follow this EYSA Code of Conduct

Thank you for your cooperation in complying with these guidelines and working together to keep everyone safe. As always, if you have any questions you can always email the board at [email protected]com
